The Insider’s Guide

Who am I?

I’m a Londoner who’s absolutely passionate about London. So much so, that I’ve made it my business to show you around. Whether you’re an individual, a family or a large group I’m your guide.

I’ve been guiding tours for a few years now. It started off as a hobby and now it’s my life! In my previous life, I’ve worked as an English teacher, a journalist, magazine editor, aromatherapist and reflexologist, astrologer, and manager of a tour operating company.

My special interests are:

London – in all its variety and splendour

Britain – its history, culture and landscape

English literature – Shakespeare, Dickens, Jane Austen, Brontes (not forgetting Bridget Jones!)

Art – history of art, galleries.

Museums – from the great ones such as the British Museum to the little quirky ones of which there are thousands, dotted all around the country.

Pop music history – Beatles, Punk, 60s, 70s, 80s.

Alternative ideas: I relish our heritage, our traditions of the country, yet often find myself drawn to alternative ideas, and quirky elements of life.
